Trout Lake Public Water Accesses
Three public boat launches on Trout Lake — at Longyear Park, Cotton Beach Park, and Kom On In Beach — all open to the public with no permit required to launch.

Winter and Ice Fishing
Trout Lake is fished through the ice as well as open water. Ice conditions can change rapidly. Guests must rely on current local and official safety information from the Minnesota DNRbefore traveling onto frozen water — ice thickness is never guaranteed or measured by the DNR on any specific lake.
